practices at the Plastic Surgery Clinic in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Ahmad completed his plastic surgery residency training at the Department of Plastic Surgery, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. In addition, he completed a fellowship in breast reconstruction at the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, University of Toronto.
Dr. Ahmad is the Director of Research and Education at the Plastic Surgery Clinic. He is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is actively involved in teaching plastic surgery residents and fellows and is the Director of the University of Toronto-Resident Aesthetic Surgery Clinic. He is the Course Director of the Annual University of Toronto Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Symposium. In addition, he serves as faculty at the Annual Dallas Cosmetic Surgery and Rhinoplasty Symposia.
Dr. Ahmad is on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the largest professional society for board certified plastic surgeons specializing in aesthetic plastic surgery. He also serves as the Vice Chair of the ASAPS Annual Meeting Program Committee and Co-Chair of Premier Global Hot Topics. He is an ASAPS Travelling Professor. In addition, he is the My Way section editor for Aesthetic Surgery Journal, the official journal of ASAPS.
Dr. Ahmad has authored more than 100 articles and chapters in plastic surgery. He has published significant work on rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, breast reduction, abdominoplasty, liposuction, labiaplasty, and patient safety during plastic surgery. He co-authored Dallas Rhinoplasty: Nasal Surgery by the Masters, 3rd Edition, and most recently, Secondary Rhinoplasty: By the Global Masters.
